Story of The Backgammon Roll brand

The Backgammon Roll brand was founded by Niklas Mortensen in Copenhagen, Denmark.

His interest for the board game started when he was visiting his grandparents, which at that time was living on a sailing boat, sailing around Crete in Greece. When walking through the streets of Agios Nikolaos on Crete, he often passed by the elderly locals that was playing Backgammon at the local cafés and shops alongside the street. He immediately had to get one of the board games himself, and then he slowly started learning it, playing against his family, while they were sailed from port to port around Crete.
